About the author

J Ronald Ricks is one of seven children. He was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Guatemala. Upon returning home from his mission in 1983 he married his high school sweetheart. They have three children. Mr. Ricks has owned his own business for most of his adult life. He enjoys kayaking, and the outdoors in general, as long as he can have his family along to enjoy it with him.
